Bryan joined Strata Underwriting Managers as President in February 2018.

Bryan’s 20+ year insurance and reinsurance career has revolved around E&S property. He has spent time as a property underwriter, treaty reinsurance broker, manager and Executive. Prior to joining Strata Underwriting Managers, Bryan most recently served as Director of Underwriting and Production at Markel Corporation for the MidSouth region of the United States. While in that role, he ran marketing for all lines of business in addition to managing the wholesale property team’s seven state region.

Bryan has held property underwriting VP roles in Hartford and Atlanta and spent a year working at Lloyd’s of London. Just before to joining Markel, he was a treaty reinsurance broker at Aon Benfield for 10 years. During his tenure at Aon, Bryan was the lead reinsurance broker for multiple industry-leading E&S insurance companies. His experience in catastrophe exposed property and pro rata reinsurance helped forge valuable relationships with C-suite level executives at carriers and reinsurers alike.

Bryan graduated from the University of Connecticut.
